Since its inception in 2005, NYTVF has debuted three shows that have been purchased for development by top studios/networks in the U.S. and is the industry’s first recognized independent television festival, providing a platform to elevate the work of artists creating for the small screen.

All Official Selections in the Independent Pilot Competition are presented to the development departments at top networks and to talent agencies and during the New York Television Festival, closed-door industry chats are held with representatives from major networks and production companies.  Rhyme Animal Creator and Producer, Jorge Rivera, best known for his work in the Underground Hip-Hop scene, anticipates introducing the film-short as a television pilot to executives, industry figures, decision-makers and fans. “RHYME ANIMAL is a dark and intensely engaging tale of one man’s obsession with success and the lurid choices he is forced to make to get there.  We’re very excited at the prospect of bringing that story to television,” says Rivera.
