The International Black DocuFest (IBDF) ended with a standing ovation and CNN International's Inside Africa host, Femi Oke, was there to hear first hand what the filmmakers had to share about the people of the African diaspora.  If you missed the 2007 IBDF, mark your calendars! Hill Auditorium 1280 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30309 September 13 - 15 for free film screenings and conversations to discuss a multitude of topics surrounding black life across the globe.

With the help of some of Atlanta's most respected news journalists and panelist experts, documentaries The Price of Sugar (2007 Human Rights Watch Award) Dir: Bill Haney, Bullet Proof Vest Dir: May Lin Au Yong, The Cajon with Its Black Soul Dir: Claudia Ruiz, Silent Choices Enough is Enough (2007 Best Documentary Feature) Dir: Billy Jackson, and In the Tall Grass Dir: J. Coll Metcalfe along with the three documentaries featured on CNN International A Little Bit of Love Dir: Scott Hatfield, Black to our Roots (2007 Audience Choice Award) Dir: Tre Whitlow & Jacqueline Olive, and I Love Hip Hop in Morocco Dir: Joshua Asen & Jennifer Needleman, Dir: Faith Pennick, audiences found themselves enthralled in post-screening discussions and educational forums.
